Elliot's Last Day On Channel 104.3!

Breaking News...

Wednesday morning, Elliot asked a Channel 104.3 listener to call in. Bill from Baltimore was on the line when Elliot broke the news...

Elliot In The Morning will no longer be heard on Channel 104.3!

"Today will be the show's last day on 104.3 in Baltimore," Elliot said. He attributed the change to Channel 104.3's dismal ratings and that DC101 does better in that market. "The ratings suck...the good news is that DC101 has always covered Baltimore," he said.

Elliot said that he was furious about the news but asked that all of his Baltimore listeners switch back over to DC101.

Update:
Elliot played "No Way Back" by Foo Fighters after a commercial break. That was the first song played on Channel 104.3 after the flip to alt-rock back in May 2008. More as I get it...

Update 2:
Shortly before 10am, Elliot said, "Baltimore, I have a feeling that they will turn the plug at exactly 10:00 am, so I dont' know if you will hear us when we get back from break." He then urged all of his Baltimore listeners to tune in on DC101 tomorrow.

Update 3:
From EITMonline.com:

“I have a feeling that they will pull the plug at exactly 10:00 a.m.” Unfortunately, today was the show’s last morning on Channel 104.3/WCHH-FM in Baltimore. If you started listening to us on Channel or switched when Channel launched in May of ‘08, thank you very much. Hopefully, you’ll continue to listen on our flagship station, DC101/101.1/WWDC-FM, out of Washington, DC. Now, for those of you who are north of Baltimore or on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, I realize that this is going to prove frustrating and next to impossible, but please remember that you can always listen to the show live at dc101.com or via the iheartradio app, which is now available for iPhone and Blackberry users at iheartradio.com.

I was so pissed when I started my car today and there was some R&B shit playing on 104.3.

DC101 does not cover Baltimore. In Glen Burnie, South of Baltimore in, the station goes in and out, on a good day you can hear it fine. In Towson, North of Baltimore and in Essex, East of Baltimore, you don't even get a signal.

It is a sad day for the fans of the alternative rock station. I enjoyed Channel 104.3, which offered an alternative to 98 rock. I really hope they can make a return because DC101 is hard to pick up on a consistent basis.

Growing up in the 90's DC101 would come in just fine. In the last 8 years or so the signal has gone for shit. With no HFS DC101 is the only "alt"/modern rock around and the signal isn't reliable. Sucks but what you going to do.

I know it's no alternative to DC101 but try WTMD 89.7 from Towson. No commercials and plenty of music.

Another friggin format change?? Just when you think you're listening to what you want, morning talk & alternative, bam! top 40, R & B, hip hop you got like 100 stations, we have only 1. 98 rock is not alternative, it is "rock". This sucks. Living in York Pa driving to Baltimore, just won't be the same until i reach like Cockeysville to pick up DC 101. Someone please hear your listeners!!!!

This sucks! :( I finally found a station that played the music I liked and now it's gone. I can't get DC 101 in my office and we don't have computer speakers to listen online! So frustrating, I just want to hear alternative music, I'm not a big fan of 98 Rock. Oh well... I'll miss you EITM!

gah! 98rock plays only hair bands and nickelback, and i'm not a big enough stoner to listen to dc101. channel 104.3 filled in a nitch that will be sorely missed. I sensed that 98 was feeling some pressure because they dipped into their alternative rock play list a little more when the fight intensified over the last few months. I guess it's back to the mp3 player for good music...

98 rock started playing alternative once 104.3 went up. now that its gone theyll go back to the same old shyt

OMG! I'm so freaking upset. I listened to that station all day and all night. It was my bible. I live on the Eastern shore so Most of the time I can't even get 101.1 & All other stations [93.5] Normally play stupid football games.

This totally SUCKS!!! As someone else said, DC 101 does NOT cover Baltimore - the reception is horrible, going in and out. And there is no other station that came close. 98 rock is sort of ok, at best. I'm so upset, both about the music and Elliot. R&B?? Are you kidding? 'Cause Baltimore needs ANOTHER crappy station.

I will miss Channel 1043, and EITM cming in crystal clear every morning... I will say i hope the new format fails I am tired of 98 rock having the monopoly on "Rock" music. Oh Well back to my Blackberry and Pandora...
